Heretics unveiled their new Valorant roster Monday, which includes newcomers Daniel “Mertz” Mertz, Jesper “TENZKI” Plougmann and Jose Antonio “Bromas” Ramas.
Mertz and TENZKI, former CS:GO players, were reported to be joining the team last week by Cybersport.pl and Dot Esports. Along with Bromas, they will join returning players Felix “al0rante” Brandi and captain Christian “lowel” Garcia Antoran.
The European team has underdone an overhaul since failing to qualify for the Valorant Champions Tour Stage Three Challengers Two main event last summer.
Mertz, 23, has played for numerous CS:GO teams including North, Heroic, Singularity and most recently Nordavind. However, he was moved to the inactive roster in August and announced in September that he was leaving the CS:GO scene after six years.
TENZKI, 27, also moved to Nordavind’s inactive roster in August before joining South later that month. His professional CS:GO career began in 2012 and TENZKI played for numerous organizations including SK Gaming, Team Dignitas, Rogue and ALTERNATE aTTaX.
The Danish pair will now be a part of the Heroics team that was scheduled to begin its first competition together against Raftel on Monday.
