Golden Guardians unveil new LCS roster

The LCS Spring Split will feature a reworked Golden Guardians squad, as the team announced a new-look roster on Wednesday.

Fortunately for their 2022 title aspirations, the Golden Guardians will boast a squad with more veterans following a rough 2021 that featured several younger players.

Leading that transition will be returning top laner Eric “Licorice” Ritchie, a native of Canada who joined GG after departing FlyQuest earlier in 2021. Prior to that, Licorice had been a member of Cloud9, helping lead that team to a first-place finish in the 2020 LCS Spring playoffs.

He’ll be joined by Milo “Pridestalkr” Wehnes, a seasoned jungler from the European Masters and former North America LCS champion Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung, who last suited up for Dignitas Academy but previously competed for the Guardians in 2019.

Nicholas Antonio “Ablazeolive” Abbott will stalk the middle after a solid LCS debut in 2021.

Finally, Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui, who spent a year learning the ropes at TSM after working his way up from the academy level, will become the top Bot Laner.
