Team Vitality unveiled their 2022 roster Wednesday featuring three new additions, headlined by eight-time League of Legends European Championship (LEC) winner and 2019 World Championship finalist Luka “Perkz” Perkovic of Croatia.
Also joining the French esports squad are back-to-back 2021 LEC winner Matyas “Carzzy” Orsag of Czech Republic and British top lane standout Barney “Alphari” Morris.
Perkz, Carzzy and Alphari will join Greece’s Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis and Poland’s Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek as they chase Vitality’s vision of becoming “the biggest French brand in esports and gaming” along with a spot in the 2022 World Championship final, set to take place in North America next fall.
“I am so excited to be returning to Europe with a new home at Team Vitality,” Perkz said in a statement. “When I was approached to join the team I knew straight away that they had a real passion and hunger to make 2022 their year. I’m ready to take my career to new heights and I know Team Vitality is somewhere I can continue to build a legacy.”
Louis-Victor “Mephisto” Legendre will serve as Vitality’s head coach, with Simao “Simon” Oliveira as assistant coach and Dimitri “Noodlez” Zografos as head analyst.
Team Vitality announced they will reveal their CS:GO roster on Dec. 15.
