Two-time world champion Jun-sik “Bang” Bae announced his retirement from League of Legends competition on Monday.
Bang is expected to turn his attention toward his responsibilities to the South Korean military service.
He previously competed with Afreeca Freecs before the club split with him as part of a massive overhaul last month.
Bang, 25, spent approximately one year with the Freecs after logging nearly 12 months with Evil Geniuses.
He also competed with 100 Thieves and SK Telecom T1. He won world championships in 2015 and 2016 with SK Telecom T1.
